Here are a few more photos from yesterday's hike through the Palmertown Mountains at Moreau Lake State Park. I was going to toss them for being redundant or imperfect, but hey, they aren't that bad! And they do add a little more detail about these splendid trails.
One of a number of overlooks that offer views of the river below and mountains beyond
Water, water, everywhere! With recent rains, all brooks were full to overflowing.

I love the rock faces! There seem to be lots of great rock faces at Moreau...another reason I have to go there!
First time visitor really enjoying you neat hikes and photos. Also intrigued by the idea of a 17 pound solo canoe. That's new concept to me! Thanks
Ellen, I would just love to show you around "my" Moreau Lake State Park. We should plan an outing.
Hello, troutbirder, I am very pleased to meet you and have a chance to visit your interesting blog. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. That canoe changed my life! I can get to the water so easily, no excuses. You should check out hornbeckboats.com to see their beautiful canoes. They can ship all over the country.
Gorgeous photos! Hard to believe they were taken so recently, given today's weather!
