Just yesterday I was knee-deep in winter, wading through hip-high heaps of snow as I followed the ice up the upper Hudson River. Today, with the temperature soaring to 70 and a warm wind whipping across the fields in the hills above Saratoga Lake, the snow was disappearing as fast as morning mist on a summer lake. Just look at all that grass!
And look at these sweet babies out enjoying the snow-free patches of grass.
