Brrr! Ten above zero at noon. I must be getting old; I don't want to go out today. My last blog post set me to revisiting my photos of Juniper Point last summer. Here are a couple that represent something of the amazing floral profusion I wrote about.
For more than twenty years I've been wandering the woods and waterways of Saratoga County, New York, looking closely, listening carefully. We are blessed in this county with an amazing amount of wilderness right at hand. With this blog I will share a year of adventuring here, seeking out what wonders await in my own Madagascar close to home.

Love love love Cardinal flowers! I love seeing them in the wild-they are such a visual gift! Would it be possible to see your natural garden live? I have gardens, but wouldn't qualify them as native. Although, not much grows in our soil that is very foreign-thank God for Alpaca manure!
