Just One Pretty Picture

While clearing out my photo files from last week, I found this photo of a bee foraging pollen from a rosy-pink New England Aster bloom, and I thought it was just too pretty to send into the dark hole of computer storage without sharing with my friends.  It's also a reminder that these late-season flowers are important sources of pollen for insects before the blooming season soon comes to an end.

  1. You're right about the bees. Our Garlic Chives are covered with them!
