They are quite science-fictionish! I also think they have a very beautiful name.

Don't worry about your blog being boring, personally I am eating it up right now. I may never see many of these lovely flowers for myself and you don't just list them, you are always giving us little nuggets of information. It's just wonderful to read.Birdhttp://www.thebirdsinthemeadow.com/category/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2662118368553266438.post-27200914036743597122009-07-01T11:47:42.608-04:002009-07-01T11:47:42.608-04:00Thanks, Ellen and Allan, glad you liked the photos...Thanks, Ellen and Allan, glad you liked the photos. Sometimes I just can't believe my luck when I find great stuff like those pine needles swirling on water. It reminded me of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

I've since learned that Water Pennywort is considered a rare plant in a number of states. As I've pointed out before, our Saratoga County flora is remarkably diverse. Sometimes I fear that my blog must get boring, because all I do some days is just list the incredible number of species I've found right here near home. To wildflower nerds like me, that's far more exciting than any news about Michael Jackson. After first frost, I'll try to broaden my perspective.Jacqueline Donnellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13390548854179921303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2662118368553266438.post-1893589997256079352009-07-01T10:22:48.085-04:002009-07-01T10:22:48.085-04:00Fantastic photos!Fantastic photos!Allan Stellarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12664417640753179655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2662118368553266438.post-75330133969870229492009-07-01T09:46:04.172-04:002009-07-01T09:46:04.172-04:00I love the photo of the pine needles on the water....I love the photo of the pine needles on the water.
